1985年浙江美术学院工艺美术系装潢专业毕业，获学士学位，留校任教
1993年-96年中国美术学院工艺美术系主任助理
1992年-98年先后赴英国、法国、德国、荷兰、比利时、卢森堡、香港等地考察，历时一年半
1996年-99年中国美术学院视觉传达设计系副主任
1999年-2006年中国美术学院视觉传达设计系主任
现为浙江省高校中青年学科带头人
中国美术学院艺术设计职业技术学院院长
中国美术学院学术委员会委员、学位委员会委员
