许竹楼

许竹楼美术作品

许竹楼，浙江杭州人。毕业于国立艺专。自幼爱好绘画，早年曾受吴昌硕指点，青年时与张大千、徐悲鸿、齐白石、高剑父等共研绘事，得益殊深。1931年在杭州创办大中华文艺社及西泠书画社。1934年其作品先后在上海、南京、汉口、天津、北京、太原、沈阳、大连、青岛、广东、广西、重庆、昆明、贵阳，香港等地展览，莫不众口交誉。嗣后又赴日本、越南、泰国、缅甸、新加坡、法国等地展览，足迹所至，受到热烈欢迎。许竹楼画的花鸟、山水、人物等千姿百态，尤其是他画的雄鹰已飞遍全世界，深受人们喜爱和赞赏。晚年，许老的作品多次在日本、美国、加拿大展出，并先后在日本国际画展中获得日本友好奖、日本文部省奖、日本岐阜知事奖、岐阜县议长奖、日本外务大臣奖、日本国务大臣奖等，并被聘为日本水墨画会、日本书画篆刻书人会顾问。1984年被聘任为浙江省文史馆馆员，1989年出任江南书画院院长，1994年被聘为浙江工业大学教授。
