王元寿

王元寿，男，汉族，云南昆明人，中国美术家协会会员、广西文史研究馆馆员、副教授。
1960年毕业于四川美术学院油画系并留校任教，担任油画等课程。1986年广西柳州市职业技术学院任教。艺术经历收编入《中国现代美术家人名大辞典》、《世界名人录》等。对油画、铜版画、水粉画、雕塑均有造诣。作品多次参加全国美展及举办个人画展、联展，大量作品被国内外机构和友人收藏。
2012年广东惠州《王元寿油画原创作品展》，2007年广东惠州《王元寿油画展》，1990年《柳州二人画展》。作品《阴风》素描组画（合作）参加1964—1965年第四届全国美展，铜板画《火红的心》（1977）参加全国美术作品展（双庆展览），同时为中国美术馆收藏，油画《郭沫若》（1984）重庆市郭沫若纪念馆收藏，油画《两江夜》（1985）加拿大多伦多市政府收藏。
作者潜心于油画技法的研究，不囿固旧，古稀之年新作层出不穷，作品呈现出坚实的造型功底，技法娴熟，风格细腻写实，丰富的本土题材内涵，饱满深邃，独具魅力。
油画《苗女》（2006年）、《待渡》（2015年）、《花季》（2015年）等，其惟妙惟肖的人物描绘，画面意境的传达都浑然天成。
作品《残阳》以山区少数民族劳作为题材，通过面部形象及环境的刻画，反映出老一辈劳动人民一生朴质的品质，与当今的城市风貌形成鲜明的反差。
在《安居》中，客观写实的环境，再现了我们视野的另一面，作为安居主人，直盼着来年的时来运转，以“福到”的门贴，寄托着未来美好生活的来临。
