亚里昆·哈孜，男，维吾尔族，1958年生于乌鲁木齐。1983年毕业于西北民族大学（本科、文学学士）。1991--1992年在哈萨克斯坦等中亚四国和俄罗斯研修学习。新疆画院专业画家、国家一级美术师、中国美术家协会会员、中国油画学会会员、新疆美术家协会油画艺委会副主任。
作品多次参加国家及省级大展，并在国内外刊物和画集中发表。部分作品赴港、澳、台等地展览，并在日本、美国、哈萨克斯坦、土库曼斯坦、叙利亚等国展出。

亚里昆出身在书画世家，最初并不是从事书画这一行，1976年，他怀着一颗立志国防报效祖国的壮志来到军营，在军队负责连队的宣传工作，他的宣传画曾名噪一时。
1979年，他考入西北民族学院艺术系油画专业，学了4年油画，毕业后又回部队从事宣传工作，尔后转业到了现在的新疆画院。在新疆画院他开始了油画创作，创作风格也开始转变。创作风格的转变缘自他上世纪90年代初赴中亚四国和俄罗斯的研修学习。
亚里昆说，受前苏联的影响，中国引进的油画风格也是写实风格。当时国内信息还比较闭塞，看到一些意象派的画，色彩比较明亮，跟写实的画不同。到八十年代随着中国的开放，绘画的形式语言也逐渐增多。油画界有个长期的问题就是千人一面，一个群体的画展就象一个人画的，而国外的画家都各有不同，所以他就不满足了，想找到自已的绘画语言。他画的画色彩比较明快，加上受新潮思想影响，画的风格能放得开。亚里昆喜欢做尝试，所以他的画也反映出他的性格。前苏联的一位艺术评论家说：“亚里昆的个子不高，画的画还挺大气。”
艺术当随时代。在二十多年的艺术生涯中，画家亚里昆找到了一种抒发自我的绘画形式，形成了注重情感和意趣的超写意的独特风格。他的作品和时代脉搏相通，那苍茫的山水、那葱郁的荷塘、那朦胧的归雁，全都超脱于形似之外，看似天成，展现了自然与神悟的美妙契合。

亚里昆·哈孜的父亲是中国美术家协会副主席、维吾尔族知名书画家哈孜·艾买提。从小受父亲的影响，加上父亲的严格要求，使得亚里昆对艺术的理解有他的独道之处。他说，父亲是一代大师，从小对我的希望很高，他在艺术上对我的影响比较大，但我要通过自身的学习积累，逐渐形成自己的艺术认知，在艺术绘画的海洋里涌现出更美丽的浪花。
