边平山

边平山，生于北京市，曾任荣宝斋出版社编辑，编辑美术书籍百余种，并获全国优秀编辑一等奖。现客居上海为职业画家，出版有《边平山画集》三种，出版合集二十余种。

1987年参加中国新文人画南京、福州展。
1988年组织发起中国新文人画及其学术活动。同年参加由四川美院举办的“十人画展”及天津美院举办的“九人画展”。
1989年参加由上海美术出版社《朵云轩》杂志举办的“纪念柳宗元全国书画展”，并获二等奖。
1989年参加北京中国美术馆与中国艺术研究院举办的“中国新文人画展”及研讨会。
1990年参加北京中国画研究院与中国艺术研究院共同举办的“中国新文人画展”及研讨活动。同年参加中国画研究院举办的“九○春季画展”。
1991年参加中国新文人画山东展及研讨活动，并在北京当代美术馆参加“青年五人展”。同年参加在台北举办的“边平山画展”，并出版《边平山画集》。
1992年参加中国新文人画甘肃展。同年出版《中国青年画家五人集》。
1993年参加中国新文人画福州展及研讨活动。
1994年参加中国新文人画南京展。同年为《中国十大诗人》（精）一书作插图。
1995年参加中国新文人画上海展、中国艺术研究院“中国画学术展”并获精诚奖、“第九届全国花鸟画展”及由哈尔滨美院举办的“全国山水画邀请展”、南京艺术学院举办的“北京四人画展”、河北师大举办的教学展。同年出版精装画集《二十世纪末中国水墨画家——边平山画集》。
1996年参加中国新文人画杭州展。同年辞去编辑职务，客居上海，并与台湾山美术馆签约。
1997年参加新文人画北京展、文化部举办的“本世纪中国水墨画大展”、广州举办的“全国中青年水墨画展”及上海举办的“九七迎香港回归画展”。同年由荣宝斋出版社出版《边平山画集》，中央电视台录制专题片《大雅之人——画家边平山》。
1998年组织发起“中国当代艺术家联展（第一回）”及研讨会。同年参加由《江苏画刊》与加拿大举办的国际联展、在苏州举办的“江南四人展”及上海艺术博览会。
1999年参加上海艺术博览会，出版个人专辑《垂髫图》。
2000年参加上海艺术博览会。同年参加在杭州举办的“金色池塘——边平山作品系列展”及在石家庄举办的“中国画名家邀请展”，并出版个人画集《金色的池塘》《边平山小品集》。
2001年参加上海艺术博览会。同年参加由浙江美协举办的“浦江国际水墨学术邀请展”、浙江台州举办的“边平山作品观摩展”、广州东莞一泉社主办的“边平山作品展”以及浙江湖州举办的“中国新文人画第十一回展”。
2002年参加上海艺术博览会，及上海美术馆举办的“国际水墨邀请展”。同年参加“上海中日书法联展”。
2003年参加台湾观想艺术主办的“今之昔——新文人意境展”、上海抽象艺术油画展、上海春季艺术沙龙、杭州“尖锋水墨”画展及湖南画院举办的“中国新文人画展”。同年参加香港举办的边平山“金色池塘”系列展、美国佛罗里达举办的中国现代艺术邀请展

结业于中央美术学院国画系、中国艺术研究院、中国画名家研修班。

Born in Beijing, he was editor of Rongbaozhai Publishing House. He edited more than 100 kinds of art books and won the first prize of excellent editors in China. Now living in Shanghai, he is a professional painter. He has published three kinds of Bianping Mountain Painting Collection and more than twenty kinds of collections.

In 1987, he participated in the exhibition of new Chinese literati paintings in Nanjing and Fuzhou.

In 1988, he organized and sponsored the new Chinese literati painting and its academic activities. In the same year, he participated in the "Ten People's Painting Exhibition" organized by Sichuan Academy of Fine Arts and the "Nine People's Painting Exhibition" organized by Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts.

In 1989, he participated in the "National Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition in Memory of Liu Zongyuan" held by Shanghai Fine Arts Publishing House "Douyun Xuan" magazine and won the second prize.

In 1989, he participated in the exhibition and seminar of New Chinese Literature Paintings held by the Beijing Museum of Chinese Art and the Chinese Academy of Art.

In 1990, he participated in the "New Chinese Literati Painting Exhibition" and seminar held by Beijing Academy of Chinese Painting and Chinese Academy of Art. In the same year, he participated in the "Spring 1990 Painting Exhibition" organized by the Academy of Chinese Painting.

In 1991, he participated in the Shandong Exhibition of New Chinese Literature Paintings and seminars, and also participated in the "Youth Five Exhibition" at Beijing Contemporary Art Museum. In the same year, he participated in the Bianping Mountain Painting Exhibition held in Taipei and published Bianping Mountain Painting Collection.

In 1992, he participated in Gansu Exhibition of New Chinese Literary Paintings. In the same year, he published Five Collections of Young Chinese Painters.

In 1993, he participated in Fuzhou Exhibition and Seminar of New Chinese Literary Painting.

In 1994, he participated in the Nanjing Exhibition of New Chinese Literati Paintings. In the same year, he illustrated the book "Ten Poets of China" (Jing).

In 1995, he participated in the Shanghai Exhibition of Chinese New Literature Painting, the Academic Exhibition of Chinese Painting of the Chinese Academy of Art, and won sincere awards, the Ninth National Flower and Bird Painting Exhibition, the National Invitation Exhibition of Landscape Painting held by Harbin Academy of Fine Arts, the Beijing Four-Person Painting Exhibition held by Nanjing Academy of Art, and the teaching exhibition held by Hebei Teachers University. In the same year, he published a hardcover album of Paintings by Bianping Mountain, a Chinese ink painter at the end of the twentieth century.

In 1996, he participated in the Hangzhou Exhibition of New Chinese Literary Paintings. In the same year, he resigned as an editor and lived in Shanghai. He also signed a contract with Taiwan Mountain Art Museum.

In 1997, he participated in the Beijing Exhibition of New Literature Painting, the "China Ink Painting Exhibition in the 21st Century" organized by the Ministry of Culture, the "National Young and Middle-aged Ink Painting Exhibition" held by Guangzhou and the "Hong Kong Return Painting Exhibition in 1997" held by Shanghai. In the same year, Bianping Mountain Painting Collection was published by Rongbaozhai Publishing House, and CCTV recorded the special film "The Great Elegant Man - Painter Bianping Mountain".

In 1998, he organized and sponsored the "Joint Exhibition of Contemporary Chinese Artists (the first time)" and the seminar. In the same year, he participated in the international joint exhibition organized by Jiangsu Painting Magazine and Canada, the Jiangnan Four People's Exhibition held in Suzhou and the Shanghai Art Exposition.

In 1999, he participated in the Shanghai Art Expo and published his personal album "Picture of Pictures of Pictures".

In 2000, he participated in Shanghai Art Expo. In the same year, he participated in the "Golden Pond - Bianpingshan Works Series Exhibition" held in Hangzhou and the "Invitation Exhibition of Chinese Painters" held in Shijiazhuang, and published his personal collection "Golden Pond" and "Bianpingshan Sketches Collection".

In 2001, he participated in Shanghai Art Expo. In the same year, he participated in the "Pujiang International Invitation Exhibition of Ink Painting" sponsored by Zhejiang Art Association, the "Bianping Mountain Works Exhibition" sponsored by Taizhou, Zhejiang, the "Bianping Mountain Works Exhibition" sponsored by Yiquan Society, Dongguan, Guangzhou, and the "Eleventh Return of Chinese New Literati Painting" sponsored by Huzhou, Zhejiang.

In 2002, he participated in the Shanghai Art Exposition and the International Invitation Exhibition of Ink and Wash held by Shanghai Art Museum. In the same year, he participated in the Shanghai Sino-Japanese Calligraphy Joint Exhibition.

In 2003, he participated in the "New Literator's Context Exhibition" sponsored by Taiwan Visionary Art, Shanghai Abstract Art Oil Painting Exhibition, Shanghai Spring Art Salon, Hangzhou "Sharp-edge Ink and Wash" Painting Exhibition and Hunan Painting Academy's "New Literator's Painting Exhibition of China". In the same year, he participated in the "Golden Pond" series exhibition in Bianpingshan held in Hong Kong and the invitation exhibition of Chinese modern art held in Florida, USA.
