周志义

画家周志义男，汉族，1943年11月生，陕西省汉中市人，仙居青海西宁市。1966年毕业于陕西省西安美术学院附中。1978年至1979年于西北民族学院艺术系深造。就职青海省教育厅教研室美术教研员、副教授，任青海省美术家协会荣誉副主席，西宁市美术家协会副主席，中国美术教育研究会会员，中原书画研究院客座教授，延安国画院、山西河津画院名誉院长。
多年来，深入青海省农村牧区、三江源头，倾心描绘青海藏族、蒙古族、土族等人民群众的劳动和生活，并致力于中国画人物的创作和研究，兼习版画、连环画创作。作品重在写实，并继承和融入了高原民族浑厚、质朴的风格，亲切自然的反映了青海少数民族生活的风情，深受广大群众喜爱。所著作品参加国际、国内美术大展，多次获奖或辑入画册。连环画《阿莲》、年画《人寿年丰》等先后被青海省人民出版社出版发行；中国画《高原土族之夏》获美国第三届国际书画金鹅奖大赛银奖；《草原晨曲》、《情系唐古拉》和《土乡巧绣》分别获延安国画院主办的“‘走进西部’全国画展”金奖、中国美协主办的“纪念毛主席讲话60周年画展”优秀奖，以及教育部、中国美协艺委会主办的“全国美术教师画展”优秀奖；多件作品赴台湾、香港、日本和新加坡展出并被收藏。2006年荣获中国人物画“百强”称号。
