武石

湖南湘潭人。原名冯子树。武石是著名的画家，也是勤奋的诗人。中原突围烈士纪念碑设计者，新四军第五师老战士。1934年毕业于上海美专。历任桂林《力报》美术编辑、《七七报》美术编辑，湖北省文联美术部部长，湖北省艺术馆副馆长，湖北艺术学院（湖北美术学院）教授，中国美术家协会会员，中国美术家协会湖北分会副主席。著有《武石诗草》。新四军老战士武石　　作品有《麦收》、《最后一根钢梁》、《田地回老家》等。
