方召麟

方召麟，又名方召麐（读麟音）。（1914年1月17日－2006年2月20日），生于中国江苏无锡世家，当代杰出国画大师。
方召麐早年留学伦敦，中年定居香港。诞育八子，传奇一生。从艺八十载，守拙成道，真趣天然。
方召麐幼时学画，受国画大家钱松喦，陈旧村启蒙；辗转至香港后，拜师岭南名家赵少昂；中年又入大风堂拜师张大千。转益多师，终成自家独特面貌。
方老作为壮美风格的女画家，中国书画史上尚属罕见。她的作品笔挟风雨雷霆，石破天惊。稚拙朴茂，画格清雄，袒露童心。在继承传统和融合现代的方面，她出入传统，引书入画，骨气洞达，墨香流衍。由于留洋的经历，她的艺术也吸收了西方现代抽象艺术神韵之美，大胆构图，似之不似，不似之似。

其父方寿颐为江苏纺丝厂的实业家，母为王淑英；13岁起跟随老师陶伯芳努力学习中英文并学国画，1933年随国画大师钱松喦、陈旧村学习山水画，同年其作品入选白浪画会之“无锡各团体书画联展”。恩师钱松喦欣喜之余盛赞她：“此女子日后必有大成。”
1937年，方召麐到英国曼彻斯特大学攻读欧洲近代史。[2]
方在香港经营出入口公司同时跟随国画大师赵少昂习书画，1951年与国画大师赵少昂到日本举办画展，于东京出版《方召麐近作集》。
1953年她拜国画大师张大千为师。
1954年入读香港大学，随国学大师饶宗颐、刘百闵等研读中国哲学及文学，1955年在港大举办办个人画展，1956年到英国牛津大学修读文学博士学位。
1970年在张大千美国之“可以居”随侍聆教一年，创绘山水作品。[2]

方召麐由1999年起由于体力退化未能如往常般每天练习7-8小时书画，2001年出席中央图书馆举办《书画缘─方召麐的艺术》个人书画展时需坐轮椅并由子女代答问题。[2]
2006年2月20日上午心脏病发入院，下午5时半因心脏衰竭在其子方津生为院长的圣保禄医院病逝，享年92岁。其后在香港殡仪馆设灵，并于跑马地天主教坟场与其夫方心诰合葬。

方召麐的父亲是实业家，在无锡经营纱厂，家境殷实。七岁之前，她的童年无忧无虑，学习书法绘画，并且随家庭教师学习英文。
七岁那年，战争爆发，方召麐的父亲带着妻女逃难。尽管已经坐上小船，还是没有躲过劫难，幼小的召麐亲眼看见父亲中弹身亡。
孤儿寡母重返无锡时，家里的工厂、财产都已消失殆尽。所幸她有一个坚强开明的母亲，坚持要她和妹妹上学。方召麐先后就读无锡竞志女中、上海启明女校、青岛德女中级学校和上海学华大学。同时拜师著名国画大家钱松喦、陈旧村学习书法绘画，还和老师一起办画展。钱松喦赞她“必有大成”。
留学伦敦抗战逃难

22岁那年，方召麐留学伦敦。方召麐幼时曾跟家庭教师学英文，这在当时的无锡非常鲜见，成为了她留学海外的良好准备。于是她进入英国曼彻斯特大学攻读欧洲近代史。并在那里结识了未来的丈夫方心诰。
二战爆发，他们从英国回到上海，上海也在打仗。辗转到香港，不久，香港沦陷。这时她已经是六个孩子的母亲了。十年里，拖儿带女地逃难，先后经过了桂林、贵阳、重庆、天津。虽然逃难万分辛苦，但生性乐观的方召麐还是给每一个孩子取了有纪念意义的名字：在天津生下的孩子，叫“津生”；桂林生下的，叫“林生”；安宁时期生下的双胞胎，叫“安生”和“宁生”。后来，这个叫方安生的女孩儿，成为了香港特区政务司司长

逃难数十年，他们终于在香港安顿下来。方心诰开了一间进出口贸易公司，生活好转，方召麐也开始重拾画笔。
平静的生活下布满暗涌。突如其来的一场医疗事故，夺走了丈夫的生命。
方召麐像疯了一样抓着医生的白大褂要人。但丈夫终究是回不来了。八个孩子围着母亲一起哭，而此时，年纪最小的孩子也许并不明白父亲到底怎么了。
她没有哭，像失去了哭泣的力气。她不明白为什么经历了这么多的磨难，生活刚刚燃起一点希望，就被命运无情的掐灭。

方召麐与一般女性的不同之处就在于，她不会垮掉。料理完后事，她打理丈夫的进出口贸易公司供给家用，抚养孩子；并且真的重拾画笔，拜师岭南名家赵少昂。
方召麐十几岁时，蒙国画大师钱松喦对她进行传统方法的严格训练，具有了扎实的古典书画基础。但不幸的是，因为战乱逃难，她辍笔十年。拜师岭南名家赵少昂，是她十年后二度拿起画笔。
没过几年，方召麐的岭南派花鸟画已经炉火纯青，“换个款就是赵少昂”。然而方召麐却却隐隐感到，这不是自己喜欢的艺术。
苏州籍女画家顾青瑶，是方召麐的朋友。顾青瑶曾在上海和张大千“生平第一知己”李秋君在上海同办“中国女子书画会”，于是也与张大千交好。1953年，张大千正好旅居香港，顾青瑶看到方召麐在艺术上欲寻求突破，遂介绍她拜师张大千。
不久，张大千收方召麐为大风堂门人。
方召麐在四十岁时，又做出一项惊人的事，入香港大学读博士，四十二岁入牛津大学研究《楚辞》。

中国数千年的绘画史，被记住的女画家不足百位。民国女画家一部分是“玩票”性质，一部分是因为性别原因而被当做故事传播。
但方召麐不是这样，她在思考的问题是“怎么样才能画出具有新面貌的、让世界认可的中国画？”“怎么样能够为美术界吹送新风？”
这是一个站在艺术史角度上的思考，而并非只考虑到自己的艺术生涯。这样的工作本不应该交给一个女子，而是需要众多艺术家共同完成。但是，也只有她，有各种天时地利人和的条件，来迈出这样的一步。虽然婚后弃笔十年，但从幼时严格按照传统规矩进行的书法绘画训练，让她拥有了深厚的传统底子；而她留学伦敦时，游历欧洲，后来又曾在美国随侍老师张大千一年，接触到大量顶级的西方文化和现代艺术，因而，方召麐非常自觉的开始了在美术上中西结合的探索。她的日记和题款里经常写道“在伦敦画室试制新画”、“伦敦画室宽畅，试制新画，更能尽兴”等。
这个过程漫长而深入，绝非在国内看一些画册，或者是短短几天的观光所能达到。她在自身深厚的中西美术基础上，将传统笔墨、西画的抽象精神、以及自己对人生的认识，非常自然地融进了画里。我们可以看到西方抽象艺术的影子，以及中国传统大写意山水的精神；有唐代高古山水的造型，更有汉代墓室壁画的人物，以及她自己天然稚拙的美学趣味。种种因素在一起作用，形成一种全新的，但又的的确确脱胎换骨于中国传统绘画的艺术风格。[2]

方召麐的大写意山水风格一出世，就震惊画坛。笔墨势如雷霆闪电，大写意精神淋漓尽致。融汇西方抽象精神和中国传统绘画韵致。
她开创的书画风格，并没有一个确定的名字，勉强被后人称为“融合抽象精神的大写意山水“，特点是“稚拙”、“天然”、“大写意”。

方召麐拜师张大千时，曾随他游历欧美，并在“可以居”随侍一年，看到了毕加索、波洛克等西方现代主义大师的绘画作品。张大千看不明白毕加索的作品，但却晓得此翁的好处是几年一变，有“生”的特点。他同方召麐讲，艺术最高的境界便是“拙”与“生”。
方召麐却从波洛克等人的抽象线条中看出拙的气质，她把这种感觉用在中国画的山中，她的山很有“山舞银蛇”的味道，那些酣畅的线条，并不在表达着具体山石，而在渲染着一种气势。或宏大、或静穆、或开阔，或陡峭。山上树林茂密，但绝不是人迹罕至之处，她总要在山中辟出一条路，让人们可以登攀，而那条路尽头的庙宇，就是她心中的天堂。也许，当年她的命运行到绝望处时，也期望有这样一条路。
方召麐曾多次回到大陆，游历名山大川。祖国山河的雄壮让她不由自主地以厚重大笔来描摹。她的山非常明显的体现出“拙”、“重”、“大”的风范。不仅造型厚重，线条苍劲，山势豪壮，在设色上也多次渲染，在一个色调中造出深浅浓淡和独特的皴法。她或以赭石和朱红染出苍劲的秋山，或以浅花青画出皑皑的冬山，或以绿色夹杂红黄写出春山夏山，制造出青铜器铜绿般的效果，颜色厚重复杂，然而毫无媚俗之气。

同为无锡籍画家，明代的倪云林不肯在画中画人。有人问他原因，他翻了一个白眼说：“当世安复有人？”或许士大夫的生活，让他瞧不上世间俗人。但方召麐却在画中画很多人，这些人有高士，有挑夫，有妇女，有娃娃，有青年人在耕地，也有老年人在行舟。船上一定是堆满蔬果，房间里一定有馍馍。就连她的桃花树，也是那样遮天蔽日，开满了嫣红的花朵，笼罩着人们，让人觉得无比美好。
方召麐的人物来自汉砖上的画像，造型颇有古风，乐观可爱。汉代墓葬塑像最感染人的，就是他们无邪的笑容。不知是大汉国力昌盛所致，还是当时流行的时尚，那些造型都能让人捧腹，感受到“正能量”。方召麐的人物也是这样，总是让人面带微笑，或者忍俊不禁。即便是画吹箫的隐士，也让人感觉是“隐于市”，而非“隐于山林”。
她不光画古代人，还画现代人，画他们穿着泳衣泳裤在下雨的海里游泳，题曰“不怕风雨”。她以时事入画，画一大船人乘风破浪，题曰“平稳过渡”——这是为了香港回归而作。她还书写了香港回归纪念碑，由政府立在黄帝陵中。
方召麐的画里不仅是人物其乐融融，连房子都个个带有不同的表情。这种房子造型脱胎于黄土高原上的守田屋，以及无锡水乡的百姓居所，通常有一个门，两个窗户——在方召麐的线条中，被设计成了嘴巴和眼睛。她画的《家园》，仅仅看这些带有不同表情的房子，就可以捧腹许久。

她还画了很多窑洞。这些画来自于她的陕北之行。窑洞这种居住方式，是无比自然的。黄土高原上的人们依地势而挖出土洞，仿佛回到人类最早的穴居时代。但与山洞不同的是，窑洞住起来非常舒服，厚厚的黄土形成隔热层，冬暖夏凉。整面墙的窗户，也保证了采光。
方召麐喜欢这样的居住方式。她画窑洞，画窑洞里的人们，给他们的桌上画出一盘盘馍馍，门户上写着“丰年”和“国泰民安”。她给缺水的黄土高原引来溪流湖泊，再造出一条向上登攀的路，成为世界上根本不会存在的一处场景。
这是她的梦。她梦想世界能有一个桃花源，在那里人们安居乐业，没有战争，没有逃难，没有物质的贫乏，没有失去的痛苦。

方召麐一生勤奋，在艺术上用力尤甚，并在晚年试图变法，画面更加干净清淡，将拙重大的风格，提高到一种新的境界。
但时间是残酷的，即便是精力充沛，四点就起床作画的方召麐也过了花甲，走近耄耋。晚年的方召麐，身体不济，画画越来越轻描淡写了。但苍劲的笔墨线条还在，只是颜色越发纯净。水开始波澜不惊。人仍然是开心的，但不再热闹，山仍然雄壮，却少了咄咄逼人的味道。
一天，年逾九旬的方召麐画了一幅轻轻淡淡、干净无比的山水，被一直追随她的学生李典看到。李典心里咯噔一下，先生这是要去了，她画的是天堂啊。
2006年，方召麐因心脏病突发去世，终年92岁。
也许我们不该流泪，因为她去到真正的天堂了呀。

方召麐创造的桃花源般的画境受到了无数称颂。香港政府给她许多奖励，包括铜紫荆奖章，在地铁票上也印上她的画。海内外博物馆为她办了许多的展览，出版了几十本不同语言的画集，她还成为不同大学的名誉教授。无锡市政府成立了方召麐艺术研究会，在无锡博物馆开辟了方召麐书画陈列馆。她的画在拍卖行价格仅次于齐白石和张大千。书画家林散之为方召麐赋诗：今观方老眼界开，奇奇怪怪出人才。从今始识书画里，无法之中有法来。
1992年获香港艺术家联盟颁发“1991年画家年奖”；[2]

2005年6月把其42幅1953至1990年间之作品赠予美国旧金山亚洲艺术馆。
方召麟在国内外多次举办个人书画展，历年来作品多次入选国内外大型书画展览并获奖，为博物馆、美术馆收藏。出版《方召麐花鸟画集》（东京版）、《方召麐作品集》（论敦版）、《方召麐书画集》（上海版）、《召麐画艺》（香港版）等。书法以楷、行，古拙朴厚，气势磅礴，自具风貌。
1998年在中国美术馆展出的300余幅作品是她各个时期的代表作。她的书画作品达简朴拙、干湿有致、顿挫有力，有气壮山河之势，她的绘画作品风格独特，锐意创新，以“拙”和“生”的韵致、返朴归真的童稚，表现各种人物花鸟造型。?
